Lourdes Potestades, PT
Lourdes has been a Physical Therapy Clinician for more than 16 years. She received her Physical Therapy degree from the University of the Philippines in 2000 and worked at a variety of settings before immigrating to the US in 2007.
She started her US career in NC in 2007, working primarily with Outpatient Neurologic and Orthopedic cases. She specializes in Adolescence-Geriatric population and has extensive experience with post-surgical orthopedic cases. Lourdes is licensed to practice PT in multiple states, namely NC, MD, DC and MA. She moved to MD in 2014 and continued working in Outpatient Orthopedics. In 2015, she joined UM Charles Regional Rehabilitation and has been instrumental in helping establish the facility as a premier clinic for receiving high-quality physical therapy care in the Charles County region. She is currently UM Charles Regional Rehabilitation liaison representative to the University of Maryland Research Network group.
Lourdes enjoys Aikido and Tennis. She planted a small tomato garden last year, enjoyed it immensely and wants to do it every year. She recently took up Tai-Chi, received Certification of Clinical Instruction and is currently planning to expand her knowledge and specialize more on it in the coming months.
