Often recognized here as "the guy with cold hands and warm heart", Amol is the newest member of the physical therapy team here at University of Maryland Charles Regional Rehabilitation. Graduating with his bachelor's/ doctors in PT from Mumbai, India, Amol went on to pursue his Masters at University of Pittsburgh in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation with four years of cumulative clinical and research experience. Having worked with elite athletes and national level therapists here in United States and India, Amol has a deep interest in managing sports related injuries and planning rehabilitative programs for return to sports/ activity to a variety of population. With special interest in Low Back pain and its management, Amol has successfully completed McKenzie Modules and is routing towards credentialing for the same.
Being Floridian for almost a year before hitting the cold weather here at La Plata, Amol loves any place with sun kissed beaches. He is a big fan of Steelers and Pitt Panthers being a Pittsburgher for a good time and loves to criticize American football over soccer which is his first love. Currently living in Alexandria, Amol has two cats in the house which are his big stress relievers after 5 p.m.
Fields of interests: Whiplash related injuries and cervicogenic headaches, chronic pain; post-operative ligament/ tendon repair procedures.
